Episode 9: Change the Game with Rich Wood

We are concluding our series that talks about the case for partnership in a down economy. A lot has changed since the recession in 2008 & 2009, many businesses were left in a situation where they had to make drastic changes that would either make or break their business. This has us asking today, what should you do if you don’t like the situation you are in or the results you are getting? Our answer: change the game! Helping me discuss this idea is Rich Wood from Rightpoint

Takeaways:

  1. Don’t try to be all things to all people. Businesses burn out by trying to do it all. Instead, take the time to see what you are doing well and in what areas you align with a solution that people need.

  2. Get outside your bubble. When changing the game you need to make connections outside of your typical champions and partnerships. This will catapult you into areas of influence you would have never been able to get to on your own.

  3. You can’t do this alone. You are not a one-person show; you have teammates, co-workers, and employees. Their experience of you and your business directly correlates to the experience of the customer.
